Remember that i went to HK a few weeks back? Well not a few but many lar. It’s just an expression, so don’t bother that. Anyways, we were strolling along the streets nearby our hotel, Stallion Hotel. The streets located near our hotel is Soy Street (just to refresh your memory as i’ve mentioned in the last few posts) and i was finding this restaurant so hard as i’ve read from Kenny Sia’s blog saying that the desserts that they served were simply delicious and the pictures was just so mouth-watering. So being the stubborn pig i usually am, i don’t want to give up and leave Hong Kong before tasting this delicacy which is oh-so-famous-around-the-world!! Finally, thanks to my hardwork and my never lasting stamina, after a few blocks i think, I FOUNG HUI LAU SHAN the ALMIGHTY SHOP THAT ONLY SERVERS DESSERTS RELATED TO MANGOES!! The pictures below are what my mummy and I ordered at our FIRST visit to Hui Lau Shan. Although we’ve visited the shop at different branches lots of times but this is the only pictures i took haha cause we were practically ordering the same thing over and over again. I can’t help it okay! It’s too delicious to NOT order it and go for something else that looks a little less tempting.

The first picture was ‘Glutinous Riceball With Mango Fillings’. It’s so yummy!!!!! The orange orange thingy is a cold sticky thing (like rubber) covered with coconut punya thing thing. Yes i’m bad at describing the food but as long i know how to taste rite!! That’s what matters most.
The second picture was something ordered by me!! Notice the heart-shaped plate??!?!!!! Yes yes i know rite!! Isn’t it cool??? I think that’s because the person who did this for me hearts me. awwwwww i  you too!! And my dessert was simply delicious. There are 4 slices of fresh and sweet mango. So sweet and fresh till the taste are still lingering in my mouth!!
The mango sauce!! Oh cooked till it’s perfection and the white thingy, i have no freaking idea what the hell is that but i think’s it’s sago. It’s not ice-cream either. But it doesn’t looks like sago to me!! Lastly, the big fat orange thing under the so called sago is the mango pudding!! Honestly, i like the sauce and the slices of mango best!!
The third picture however was ordered by my mummy!! It’s an assorted fruits dessert ranging from watermelon balls, honeydew balls, kiwi fruit, NATA DE COCO!!, slices of strawberries, one scoop of vanilla ice-cream and guava balls?? I tell you i can suck the balls dry because it’s just juice rolled up into a ball. LOL!!
Unfornately, our very FIRST visit to the Hui Lau Shan was destroyed by something nastyy!!! The shop was located next to a snack store which happens to be selling SMELLY TOFU as well!! My oh my it sure is smelly because when they were frying it, my mum thought the toilet busted!!! :dead::dead::dead: And upon hearing that statement, my stomach started to ache as i was laughing tremendously knowing that it’s the smell of the Smelly Tofu as i saw them selling it earlier. So we were swallowing our food as fast as possible without breathing!! We can’t breathe and eat at the same time but i did!! Salute me people!! But one fact i like about smelly tofu was it only stinks when it is fried, after that, it smells so good till i can die just to buy and taste it!!:blush::blush:
PS : How i really hope that Hui Lau Shan will be opened in KL because i’m just going to go eat there everyday, 3 times a day. Hello!! it’s fulfiling and most of all, it’s healthy and NOT fattening!!! So come come let’s pray they’ll be here by next year :dead::dead:
PSS: i love the second picture best because it is so clear and nice!! kan kan????
