Just a week ago, I attended my very first food festival in Perth after all these years! For this one, it was all about truffles, truffles and more truffles!

Going with the rhyme, so I thought this would be a great time for me to wear my faux fur gilet! My precious precious fur vest. The desperate things I would do to get hold of this treasure of mine! I’ve always asked my friends if they have any desperate shopping stories to share just so I wouldn’t feel so alone hehe but it seems like I have too many it’s not even funny!

As soon as we got there, the rain was pouring so badly with strong cold winds, I was beyond freezing!! But as the weather tends to have its own PMS, it was all sunny minutes later. So Thank God for that. We were greeted by Jean Pierre Sancho’s tent and the first thing I couldn’t wait to get my hands on was their truffle macaron! Tastewise, it was okay but I didn’t really like the texture of it though as I find it a tad bit dry.

Walking deeper into the festival, there were a whole lot more stalls offering a variety of food. There was a long queue at the Truffle and Mushrooms stalls especially and the grilled mushrooms smelt soooooo good! It was definitely one of the juiciest and tastiest mushroom I’ve ever tasted! Boy they were big juicy juicy mushrooms! It was my first time eating mushrooms this way cause usually, I’m perfectly satisfied with a mushroom omelette!

Saw a bunch of old ladies in the middle of nowhere and thought it was funny to imitate them!

After awhile, we were on a street filled with food vendors and the aroma of food being cooked by each stall was just too good to ignore! So everyone bought different food so that everyone could have a taste out of everything! We’ve got Fish and Chips with Truffle Mayonnaise, Truffled Potato Croquettes, and Gnocchi Ravioli with Mushrooms and Truffle from Inconte. I love the truffle mayonnaise so much because I found myself constantly dipping away with it! We even shared a Truffled Moonmeat Burger from Mondo Butchers and Crispy RABBIT and Truffle spring rolls! YES, I ate a rabbit eeekkks!! It was soft and tender I have to say but I felt like as though I was eating a pet dog! But the weirdest bit of the day was the chicken and truffle flavoured Ice-cream! There wasn’t any taste of chicken in it though but it was definitely an amazing treat!

You can tell by the end that I was very, very truffle-fied.

As we started our day earlier in the day, we’ve noticed that there was a tent promoting Tourism Malaysia specifically and it was funny because there’s no other countries promoting themselves and I thought I was in a Truffle Festival! But then again, I’m glad it was there as I’ve got to attend Chef Wan’s cooking session hahahaha! Ohmygod he is one of the horniest man I’ve ever known because he constantly talks to us about dirty jokes! (not that I don’t enjoy *coughs coughs!* )

I loved the session so much because it was also my first time trying out the Malay’s porridge that is always being served during Hari Raya? Correct me if I’m wrong! Other than that, he even cooked lamb rendang? I don’t know what is it called in Malay gosh but the meat was so tender and well marinated!! *shyy*

That day, this was the outfit that got me freezing like a mad scrawny chicken! But hey, no pain no gain!

Baked this batch of cookies on Easter, I swear it’s so awesome u want to die twice!

This is Coco the Pugalier. She’s so fat her and all she does is sleep around (HAHAHAHA WTF?) and eat. But that’s what dogs do most of the time. But she’s does that at a level so high you couldn’t even imagine.

Whenever I want to take a picture, she’s ALWAYS inside and then the whole idea of taking my picture ONLY is ruined. And when I thought to myself, okay could take it again, it’s just NOT as nice anymore!

Because she’s so fat I bully her all the time. Hence all the karma I get, FML!

I love how the light shines in this picture and the way it hits on the leaves reflecting a dreamy feeling. Oh hi, maybe it’s God in the picture. Maybe he’s telling me that I should stop bullying her.

But then again, I’ve learnt something in church today. When life throw you troubles, just tell yourself this : SUCK IT UP, PRINCESS!. Strongly applicable to both boys and girls.

I should just tell Coco that. Hey suck it up princess. I bet my sister is so going to kill me now hahahaha!

PS: oh yeah hi jie, i borrowed your shades to camwhore. Hope you wouldn’t mind hahahaha! I was stressing last week so I needed to take the load off my shoulders.

Yes, I’ve seen water monkeys and others but NOT TURLE?!?! Hahahaha wtf I’ve yet to put in into the water yet but I’ll show you guys soon! And yeah, he got me a blue turtle. Ain’t my pet cool?!?! AGE 3+ and above okayyy!

I tell you ah. I decided to try the 3 day diet thing which I’m supposed to follow STRICTLY, but I munch on tim tams and i ate curry puffs with kuih muihs so I can’t say it’s effective or not. So disappointed okay cause I did follow the meals I’m supposed to eat for the first day and hell it was torturing. THAT’S the amount of chicken breast I’m allowed to eat. It’s yummy though although there’s no oil used. Salt and pepper are my best friends.

Okay, I did a ridiculous thing on Saturday night! I cut my own fringe okay. There’s actually a whole lot more of hair than what was shown in the picture.

Knowing that I’m a headband person/Blair wannabe, I’m using headbands so often right now, you would think it’s part of my head. Su Ning said I don’t look good with headbands with my fringe in front and she claims that I look better like that.

Don’t you think it’s like those girls teaching you how to wash face?

Anyways I gotta rush back to my assignments now. IT’S NOT GOING TO GO I TELL U. They’ll just keep coming no matter how many you’ve handed in.

The quality of the pictures won’t be as clear as last time because I have to lower down the quality of my pictures to 4 using Photoshop because if not, my blog limit or something like that will eventually run out of space. By then, I might have to delete my previous posts which I wouldn’t even want to think of. SO please bear with the pictures terima kasih

I’ve only been to the zoo twice. I went once with St Ronan kids I think and the only memory I got from that trip is that I got to drink A&W right after that. Another time would be the time where I went with my family. Couldn’t remember much from that though but I do have pictures from then!

Growing up watching Disney Cartoons has certainly strengthen the love for animals within me especially when my favourite cartoon is Lion King! I want zebras and lions for pets instead of the usual cats and dogs.

Anyways, I got the chance to pay a visit to the Perth Zoo with Nick and Andrea during my 6 weeks semester break here.

I felt like I’ve travelled through time machine as soon as I step foot into the zoo again because I felt this warm buttery feeling inside me and I just want to scream and run around for no reason wth? Like as if I don’t do that usually How I wish giraffes would be the mode of transportation instead of cars because they’re environmental friendly.

Guess what’s the slowest animal? Tortoises! OH MY GOD I’VE BEEN STANDING THERE FOR MINUTES and they only took like what? Two steps? I felt like calling them losers For the love of tortoises, I was waiting for them to walk patiently before I kissed them goodbye. OH OH DID I TELL YOU THAT I USED TO HAVE TWO PET TORTOISES? When I left them in the Bukit Jalil lake, I childishly wrote ‘Michelle’ and ‘Melissa’ on their shells using marker pens which obviously came off as soon as they went into the water.

Moving on! I saw Timon the meerkat. Without Pumbaa the warthog.

Boy oh boy, elephants’ shit sure is big.

Along the way, we entered the Burung section. Burung means birds by the way. I spotted a pair of lovebirds and I quickly took my awesome camera to snap them! But wtf when I was about to click, THIS BUGGER CAME ONTO THE FENCE AND SCARED THE CRAP OUT OF ME! Obviously I screamed like a purple lizard.

See! He just jumped onto the fence right in front of me and he just wouldn’t get out of my way! I poked him and blew his feathers to see what’s underneath. It’s okay!! I know it’s a ‘he’ because he’s so mengada.

Now everybody say AWWWWWWWWWW.

Entered the world of bird bird. *HAH* *COUGHS* Saw a duck sitting OUTSIDE of the net. I think it got lost or it’s just some wild duck. Roast Duck! *drools* There was once when I was sitting in the car, two wild ducks flew by and they’re soooo pretty!

Was finding penguins the whole entire time cause I HADN’T SEEN PENGUINS BEFORE GAHHH!

Far from my expectation but cute nonetheless! There’s so many of them that they could drown you in their pee.

Hanged out at the Penguin Section for quite some time and there’s not much people here because it’s a tad bit hard to find this place.

Now, for Australia’s well known animals!

I prefer kangaroos over koala bears. I want to date a kangaroo heh.

I bet this is a ‘she’ because she’s so pretty. Just like ME.

See!! She even let me touchy touchy her!! If you paid 100% attention to all my pictures, you can spot that my red ribbon from my bangles are no longer there. Yes I lost it in the zoo.

THIS ONE HAS TO BE A BOY! CONFIRM! Anyways, all in all I had an awesome day with Nick and Andrea and there are actually more animals than the ones I’ve posted in this post. I’ll end this post with a lovely rainbow to brighten up your gloomy days.
