I’m supposed to be packing for my flight now which is due in a few hours but look at me, I’m blogging!! *pauses* I just lied to my mum saying that I’m packing.

Hello again!! Here’s another post as promised days ago to keep you entertained!!

This kimono wrap was definitely one of the times where I buy a certain thing without giving a thought. In another words, an impulsive purchase. WHATTTTTTTT? It’s on 50% sale! But I didn’t regret a single bit because I’ve worn it so many times as it’s light enough and keeps me warm enough from those cold winter breeze. I particularly like the prints on the kimono wrap because it’s has a strong oriental influence so I thought of playing around with my outfit to that theme. What do you think of it?

Luckily, my finals was only spread within a range of 4 days, this simply means that I could have an extra week to grab all the goodies on sale just in time for the Financial Year End Sale!

Spending hours walking has definitely took its toll on our legs so we spent a long time leaping around in the park like it’s a playground for kids. What’s more kid-like than finishing the day with chocolate drinks and cheesecakes?

Being Vain in Uni

I did mention that we brought many set of clothes but there wasn’t enough time to change so in the end, we just changed once HAHAHHAHA!! But this definitely gives us an excuse to have another day like this doesn’t it?

Here comes the long awaited post! It sure is a picture heavy post because I’m narcissistic like that. I couldn’t really just pick a limited few! And yess, I’ve worn the dress which was supposedly meant for my 21st Birthday but I just couldn’t wait to slip into it! It still is my 21st Birthday Dress!!

Joanne asked me ‘Don’t we look like we’re a bunch of young designers?’ and when I took a closer look at this particular picture, I sure think we do!

These were the only a few pictures taken in the studio because we were running out of the time and plus, there wasn’t really much we could do!

It was definitely a fun-filled day and these are the moments that were captured for that day. Don’t be fooled by the pictures but there were a lot of people in uni the other day so we had to settle for this spot because we were quite shyy. As it was raining the day before, the ground was pretty mushy and our heels kinda sunk into the ground so screw it, that’s why I was wearing my flats the entire time but that certainly didn’t stop us from being kids!

Fooling around with scarves(back then, it was my mummy’s clothes) and jumping around jumping out and down, reaching out for tree branches were the things I used to do back then when I was a kid. I’m really falling in love with Joanne’s camera lens!!! All these pictures are taken with her camera

This time, there were only three of us because a few other girls weren’t able to come on that day!! So here’s hoping for another day like this ~~so that I could play with all my clothes~~!

Behind the scenes : Being in a studio for the first time

Now that I’m done with all my papers, I can’t even sleep even when it’s already 1am!!! < HAHAHHA wtf I wrote this even before I took my first paper BECAUSE bear in mind this was drafted since days ago!!

As I’m taking my precious break now, I’m going to tell you my excitement when Joanne and Amelie told me that they’ve booked a studio in my uni for their photography assignment! Immediately I knew I had to go and be a busy body even though there was a test that week!! (screw test, this one is more important!! )

It was definitely my first time being in this studio and I still clearly remember that I was squealing with excitement inside because we were planning the number of outfits to bring and change so that we could take lots and lots of outfit pictures!!

At one point, I’ve even decided to lugged my luggage bag all the way to uni *MIND YOU I TAKE AT LEAST AN HOUR TO REACH MY UNI!* because that just shows how many pairs of heels and outfits we planned to bring! However though, I’ve decided that I must not look like a fool so in the end I just bought TWO BAGS = 1 LUGGAGE to make it look like I’ve got an important task to do! SCORE! Looking like a busy person AND being able to bring planned outfits!

YESSS! Didn’t bring my whole drawer of accessories but Joanne sure did brought a lot of hers! Those were just the pairs of heels/flats because most of our good ones are back in Malaysia!! It’s just really weird because whenever I’m here, I’ll just tend to wear flat shoes wherever I go because it’s just SO SO inconvenient with heels especially with all the public transport and long distance walking!!

Sooo that’s us playing around in the studio! Will show you more pictures soon. OKAY those who’ve seen them, please pretend you hadn’t seen them!! But then again, what most of you have seen on Facebook wasn’t the complete set so please stalk me in the next few days so that I can tickle your fancy! *wiggle eyebrows!*

Just the beginning

For two semesters, I’ve been looking forward to my Fashion Design class so eagerly. I still remembered the first day I stepped into the class during this semester, fearing that I might look like a Commerce student. You know, the Commerce face LOL but everybody was friendly and I managed to blend right in immediately!

Anyways, as I’ve said earlier that I will show you guys, these are the two dresses that I put my hands on to sew for my final assessment! I was proud for awhile because I thought ‘hey, this is just my second time and I managed to sew a dress!’. But after the presentation today, I realised that I hadn’t pushed or challenged myself hard enough to explore a better design. Oh wells, better not dwell myself in this! Let’s get on with my dresses!!

For this first one, I worked around my dress with kaleidoscope as my inspiration!! Bear in mind that the main idea of my unit is combining stripes, checks and florals and we’re tested on to see how well we could incorporate these three prints together into a garment! Wtf I feel like I’m presenting hahahha but OMG DID I TELL YOU!!! For the past two freaking years, all my presentations I’ll force myself to memorized a speech because really, half the time I have no idea what I was presenting for my accounting units. I just copied them from the textbook EEKKs. I’m pretty surprised that for this unit alone, I’ve never bothered preparing a speech in advance and I could speak with confidence and no blabbering around!! *proud moment!*

You could probably see that it’s a tad loose on me but OHMYGOD I SWEAR, I was so happy when i could fit into the dress! Initially I thought the bust was too big when I put onto mine WTF because I’ve forgotten that mine disappeared along with my weight loss LOL!! That’s why I have long hair now you see, to hide my flat chest!! MOVING ON FROM MY CHEST! Though it looks kind of normal here, I did one hugeeeee mistake and I’ll show you why in the end.

For my second dress, this was so loose I swear it dropped right off once I put it on me!! Because I have no idea on how to cut the fabric to fit onto my body size perfectly! So the only possible way I could make it stay was by using the waist belt! I screwed up the collars on both dresses though. Okay not just the collar.

I was kind of aiming for a edgy design but guess I failed miserably at it hohoho!

So yea, please ignore my puffy eyes because it’s the first time I’ve stayed up till 4 in the morning completing my assignments. I look so freakishly old now I don’t think piling tonnes of baby lotion could make me any younger WTH!! For this second dress, I played with different fabrics as you could see, hence the ‘turnn’ so you could see the flow yo! A tad bit high for the slit I guess but MUAHAHHAHA I like!! *hamsap face*

So there you have it, my second and third hand sewn dress! Gotta say though that I hadn’t put the best effort into doing this because I was rushing for time and I got tired of unpicking again and again due to my mistakes!!

LIKE THIS ONE OMG! I told you I’ve never stayed up this late, so this is what happens when I sew all of the pieces together. 95% done. THEN I NOTICED OHMYGODWHATTHETOOT, my skirt was sewn on the wrong side!! Now I freaking looked like I’m superman’s wife with a huge red floral panty from the back WTFWTF!!! But one thing I love about design is that, even if it’s not meant to be like this initially, I managed to twist my words and said that it’s my intention to put it this way LOLOLOL!! (I like how i look way thinner when I take pictures using my iphone!! *roll eyes*)

Before I forget, thank you jiejie for bringing me sweet treats from your high tea!! I really love the lemon meringue nyum nyum nyum!

PS: Obviously these wouldn’t be the last two sewing projects I have even though I don’t have any classes. I’m keen on challenging myself further and my mummy even asked me to go for sewing classes! That’s a start isn’t it?

Don’t Run Away

I’ve got so many things to update you all about but I’m just going to show you once it’s all done though my sewing isn’t really neat yet! But you’ll get to see it soon!!

You’ll have no idea how much damage those pins had done to my poor fingers AND LEGS!! And that’s my faithful little Momo being there the whole time I’m sewing/cutting/ironing pieces of fabrics etc!!

Right now I’m writing up on my digital portfolio(a 50-60 pages worth of business plan for my dress FUH!) and a presentation to talk about my final concept of the dress for my design tutorial due on Monday ughh!

Winter has officially started, but I still hadn’t pass the mood of wearing all my awesome tights that’s too thin fo the cold!! But that’s okay, I’ll survive. Things people do to look good HAHAHHHAA!!

These are the two things that I kept telling myself.

Here’s a little peek-a-boo of my two dresses!! To give you a little bit of an idea, both of these dresses are on the extreme ends. One is sweet and the other is simply dark and alluring. I’ve got an asymmetrical skirt on one and the other features hand embellishments (thanks to my lovely sister, Michelle!) Ahem *coughs* in return for your help, Ramen on me!

WHAT? It’s hard taking pictures of yourself okay! Please ignore those few strands of hair!

OHHH, I’ve just signed up with bloglovin so give me some love will you?

Ps : Now, I have quite a few number of blogs which I love reading because it’s so inspiring to know that these people took the courage to choose the unconventional path. Just to name a few, I’ve first found out that Hui Wen here has been an auditor and now she’s pursuing her dream! And there’s the well known Chiara Ferragni whose taking a law degree but at the same time so successful in the name of Fashion and she even owns her very own shoe line! Now who says that we can’t go after our dream? *wishful thinking!*

And on top of that, spending 4.5 hours in the sewing lab was definitely a wise decision as I’ve managed to speak to this guy whose a current full Fashion student and he just graduated from an Accounting degree! To those of you out there, I’m just saying that we shouldn’t just lose hope on something we love just because of a minor obstacle (i.e in the wrong course, OKAY NOT MINOR HAHAH!), but you get the drill!

I’ve taken my first step by going into a Fashion Design class to see if it’s what I want, and I have to say that this decision has certainly made me want it even more! You might seem desperate but if you don’t push your own boundaries yourself and grab what you want, who else will do that apart from yourself?

Now, time to go sewing the pieces together andd write up a concept statement on these two dresses! Sin & Sinner? Thoughts!!! Suggestions??

WHAT NONSENSE!!! *hits everyone except for the first person with a hammer!!* These are the responses I get when I told everyone about the things I do for my Fashion Design unit. Truth to be told, YES I’M EXHAUSTED but I’M IN LOVE at the same time with what I’m doing. My only issue is time as I’ve got a couple more assignments on hand. So that explains my blogging pattern.

It’s been a long time since I’ve been to Fremantle because the only reason I would go there is when I’m super craving for some good ol Fish & Chips!! Or when I gatal HAHAHAHAHA!

Every single time I enter the market, I would ALWAYS, ALWAYS see that there’s a lot of people joining the long queue to this ramen stall. The thing is, as much as I yearn to try it every time I see it, I’ll be so freaking full from fish & chips that I couldn’t even shove an ice down my throat!! But thank god, I got around to try it just last Friday with Amelie and her bf! True to my expectations, it’s so good down to every bite!!

While walking around Fremantle, I spotted my favourite car, Beetle!!!! Then it strikes me that the colour combination of my choice of clothing for the day matches this car perfectly. Hoppity hop, I wanted to take a picture with the car so that I will at least have a picture of myself with that car!! But there was a woman talking on the phone next to it and I’m so worried that if I were to do that, she’ll give me weird stares!! T_T

We only spent a few hours around in Fremantle because our main intention of going there is for Amelie to take pictures for her Photography assignment so not many outfit pictures! But I’ve got to say that it’s such a breather to be able to tag along to Fremantle because I have not got the time to go out for a while now because of my work load ishh! Sorry I had to make this into a short post because I have to rush my 2 dresses now! Will show you guys once it’s done!

One hour for meatballs

Ohmygoodness I just finished watching the second last episode to Season 2 of The Vampire Diaries yesterday and it got me feeling so down last night!

Not long ago, my friends and I had this sudden itch to eat Ikea’s meatballs which is located quite a distance away from our Uni. But that didn’t stop us from heading all out for the meatballs! So off we went on an half an hour ride just thinking and talking about glorious glorious meatballs in all its awe!

It was probably my first time going to Ikea using the public transport so I totally had no idea what we have to ~~WALK~~CLIMB THROUGH FOL! Long story short, there is this short cut which cuts straight to Ikea and I tell you, it really isn’t a short cut if it doesn’t require any hard work. We literally had to walk down slowly on a VERY VERY STEEP HILL WTH!!! Coming from someone who has not exercise for a long time? That’s some serious FUH DANGER!! To make things worse, we took a much less steeper road among the two ‘grass-less’ paths on the hill and there was an elderly couple who walked down the steeper one just minutes before us like it’s some easy task TRA,LA,LA,LA!

Now now, don’t be afraid and think that I’ve finished that whole plate of meatballs by myself! I wanted to save my stomach for the Daim dessert that everybody’s always been talking about! Don’t know whether it’s just me but the dessert wasn’t as satisfying as I expected it to be and it seems a tad bit dry!

It isn’t complete to go to Ikea without ~~walking~~ prancing around oooooh-ing and aahhh-ing at all the furnitures and how they’re being put together in such compact spaces and then WISH for a miracle that your room will magically be like this somehow.

I think all of our eyes lit up when we saw the word ‘CHILDREN’S IKEA‘ written across the sign right above our heads!! Off we ran to hide and crawl through the holes wtfwtf!! Bowie really loves his vegetables doesn’t he? Whenever we go out for Dim Sum, he would always want to order a plate of greens which is ridiculously priced for the sad amount being served! So inevitably we would always tell him off for wanting to order veges because it’s simply a waste of stomach space when you can eat more Dim Sum on nom nom nom!

One thing about the kids’ section is there are so many soft toys strewn around the place!! I even found a white rat in the bowl! Funny how each of us grabbed a mouse and immediately each of us gave such different response to it!

Lanterns and embroidery on lamps reminds me so much of Tangled and they are not that costly!! I THINK IT COSTS $4.95 FOR ONE? *points at the picture!* Speaking of Tangled (mind you, I’m still slightly obsessed with it), when I saw daisies being sold in Ikea that resembles the ones that’s on her hair, I bought right away without thinking! You know it’s just one of those habits where you just feel like buying something even when you have no intentions to when you enter a store hohoho.

On a side note, I’ve been plucking roses from my backyard so that I could sniff them at night! I swear they smell soooo good!!! However, one thing I didn’t like about these flowers are the prickly thorns on the stems!!! Agitated, i used the scissors to shave it to make the stems silky smooth and it’s like shaving the hair off a person’s legs!!

Spring Flowers in Curtin

Just right after my finals a month ago, there was only a few days left before I part ways with my friend, Amelie back to our respective hometowns in Malaysia. We figured that our uni was probably the most convenient place to take a few pictures before heading out to the city to celebrate our newfound freedom.

It was funny because we both wanted to be in the pictures together and there was nobody else to take it for us!!! Thank God that her boyfriend, Kevin was around because I did sent out a text to a classmate to was staying nearby saying SOMETHING BIG AND OMGODDING HAPPENED in uni and we needed him immediately! HAHAHAHHA HE CAME ALL THE WAY only to realise we needed someone to take pictures of us wtf HAHAHHAA FHL!

But then again, I guess I got hit by Karma immediately because upon sitting high and low to get some good angles, I got dirt stucked to my pants which made me looked like I shitted. IT’S WORST THAT I CAN’T EVEN WASH IT OFF AFTER BEING THROWN INTO THE WASHING MACHINE TWICE!

Don’t you just love colourful cupcakes and all the glitzy christmas decorations in shopping malls?? Christmas is just in 6 days time and I can’t wait for it already!!

Anyways, I’m not getting lazy on blogging lately but it’s just that I’ve started my internship in an audit firm and it’s taking the life out of me!!! I felt so stressed sometimes and all i want to do is go back home at 5.30 straight but I guess that’s just something that I could only wish for at the moment. Anyhows, gotta do my remaining work now ON A SUNDAY sobsob!!

I have a lot more things to show you guys so I’ll blog as soon as I can!!

I need a break

And that’s what I got exactly for this coming whole week! The downside of it however is that I’m going to be sitting down facing my laptop all day to finish off FOUR freaking assignments that’s going to be due the week right after the break. It’s just like what they say, life isn’t ~~a bed of roses~~ a cup of chocolate chips. *oh oh my parents got me that from the Chocolate Factory THEY ALL went to*

Although I’m always mumbling about the shit load amount of work, I’m actually looking forward to my Management and Marketing assignments. I feel so Rebecca Bloomwood-ish because for Management, I’m going to talk about Cotton On and Macbook Pro for Marketing! Pardon me for my blatant ignorance on what’s going on with Apple but I just found out that Macbook Pro is a laptop from Su Ning today. HAHAHAHAHA I thought it’s a desktop all the while. Er anyway yeah that’s the only fact I like, not how I’m going to go around it though. I still have no freaking idea on what to write!

Yes that’s baked sweet potato! A far cry from what I see in the TV apparently as said by Tian. Okay I was craving for this because I’m always seeing this poor villagers in the show eating that all the time and they seem to be enjoying it so much! Tian got it and instead of throwing it into the firewood like what we see in the drama, we just baked it. He got three of them and I got so jelak eating it after half bleagh.

AND THEN YOU KNOW WHAT?!?!!? I put on so much weight till the birds decided to turn into elephants. I was preparing for the worst when I stepped on the scale but never had i thought it would be THATTTTT bad! See those food up there? It’s not what I want or crave for anymore. MUST bloody resist. I have to say that my will power this time is stronger than ever and I’m blowing kisses to myself for it.

Say hello to boiled chicken tetek, fruits and more boiled veges!

This is deadly. No. Serious. Not in the sense that the food is deadly. I meant that the decision to go on a diet S.E.R.I.O.U.S.L.Y. is lethal. HAH! Expected nags from everybody in the world and sudden white lies bombarding your way like ‘oh you’re thin la, you’re so skinny’. Nevertheless, I want to make myself happy OKAY!

See! Happy Face. No, that’s NOT my bra, it’s a spaghetti top. I don’t buy white bra.

On a last note: I promise I will reaallly reallly go snap pictures of my wardrobe/room to show you people. Gosshh I think I’m like the last person to show the world my room after staying in it for like 6 months?

Pink Lady Fingers

Before i begin, I wana tell you that I’m soooooo becoming like my dad because I’m starting to water the plants in my sister’s house. Hence the post title pink lady fingers! (You see I’m very confused because some people use green thumb or green fingers so I was like might as well say hand but i think fingers sounds more feminine so ya, and I don’t like green)

This was the only rose that bloomed nicely among all the other rose-y plants. I spotted another two buds coming out though so let’s be patient for the other two shall we? Btw the picture is not edited at all, now ~~worship~~ praise me.

Knowing from the previous post on how much I love my curry, I bought a curry plant for $7 from my Uni. They have this bazaaar thingy every wednesday and a couple will come and sell lots of plants from cili padi to parsley to this that. It’s my first time buying and taking care of a plant myself, so I named it Chicken. Every evening, I’ll be out watering Chicken and counting the number of leaves and SO FREAKING LONG OKAY FOR THEM TO GROW!

Last Friday, Andrea ajaked me to go to a craft fair exhibition that was being held in Perth Convention Centre, knowing that I’m ~~so lazy to do my assignments~~ taking a break from all my stress, I decided why not? Upon arriving, I was astonished because I sorta underestimated Perth’s Convention Centre in terms of size, it’s bigger than what I thought it would be. Entrance fees was $15 which is a tad bit over the expensive side but considering it’s my first time going to a craft fair, it’s pretty worth it.

One of the first few stalls that grabbed my attention, I sort of freaked out secretly because I NEVER like dolls, I never play with Barbie Dolls even when I’m a small kid. Only soft animal toys and masak-masak and lego. These dolls gives me goosebumps especially when I watch movies like Seed of Chucky! Wtf okay, I remembered this particular scene when he cut the human into pieces or something, thank god that’s just a vague memory.

Bought quite a number of things when I spotted their boxes filled with goodies and they’re labelled as ‘BARGAIN BOXES’! HELLO who wouldn’t go cuckoo at the sight of that?! That’s one of my many artsy stuffs that I bought. Yes, you people will see that sign whenever I send you a card or letter from now on.

Been puppysitting one Cross Jack Russell dog for my sister and he’s so cute!! But one thing that annoys me is his HIGH PITCH VOICE omg can die! Screams like madddd and very manja! Like it’ll cry if you don’t carry him and angugu. Couldn’t stand it anymore then I decided to eat it.

YUMMY!!! ~~Just to make my sister happy~~ My sister cooked it.

Now now, as everyone knows I have a biggg collection of accessories, I want to show you two of latest ones. I always start my sentences with OMG, so with this, that saves me alot of energy wouldn’t it?

Although it looks a tad bit big for my ears but wth I still love it.
